I am the white haired fellow who introduced himself earlier today at brunch to you and Steve Wilkes and mentioned that I would be reviewing your CD "My Foolish Heart" in the March 2012 issue of the IAJRC Journal, a quarterly publication. To learn more of the Association please visit www.iajrc.org. Although record and book reviews are not my primary responsibilty at IAJRC and I only do them sparingly, I was asked by the Editor to cover you as he deemed I had, being a resident of Arkansas,"discovered" you as it were. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact me at TArgenti@aol.com. Sincrely, Tristan Argenti
Love the music. I wish we could get some live jazz in my part of the country.
Looking forward to New Years Eve. Thanks for sharing your talents!
Love the site!
I was your sister Wanda's roommate in nursig school at St. Edward in Ft. Smith. I just ran into your site on the internet and realized you are her sister. Could you please have her contact me either at this e-mail or on my cell phone 479-213-1498. Thanks! Chella
came across your site looking for jazz piano accompaniment files to play in the background of my tenor sax. Love the complexity of your chords on standards; most tunes played by pros have so many notes in the improv, whereas yours is a fine blend of creativity. I could listen to your playing all night whereas with many, I get tired-out. Thanks for sharing. Jim in Kentucky
Claudia, I'm writing because I thought you would be interested to hear about my daughter Susan's son Jordy, age 14. That makes Jordy your cousin? They live in Long Beach, CA, and Jordy plays a trumpet. Teacher ordered him to get a professional trumpet. He did. Jordy is doing great on the trumpet, invited to move to the advanced jazz class next semester with the juniors and seniors in high school, even though he is a freshman. Jordy was selected as first chair trumpet player for the All Southern Middle School Honor band (the band is for 7th - 9th graders. "All Southern" means "All Southern California," so being selected as the best trumpet player among those who auditioned is quite an achievement. Jordy is in five music groups right now (Symphonic Winds, Jazz, All-Southern, All-District, and the Symphony Orchestra at his school). Jordy seems exceptionally talented. Brother Jesse, who is good and also plays jazz, is 18. Jesse plays clarinet and sax. The beat goes on......
I was feeling rather homesick, searching the net for any recorded sounds from familiar faces/friends (Clare Starr, etc.)... I stumbled onto Steve Wilke's Myspace and found myself enthralled. Happily, it led me here, and I can't seem to shake your music from my ears. Absolutely beautiful, Ms. Burson... I certainly wish I'd caught a live performance during my time in the South. If ever you're in Southern Ohio, I'll be a'swaying. ~E!
Finally checking out Steve's other passion, you know the one that doesn't involve alcohol... oh wait I never knew a drummer that didn't have a nip whilst playing! Merry Christmas! Ps please don't put me on an email list or anything!
Very nice article. I remember the wonderful playing you did back in Houston. I'm sure it is nice to be home. I hope you get in touch. www.reggiegoings.com

Claudia, Steve, and Drew, I caught your set at the Ft Smith Jazz Festival yesterday. Loved it. You guys are tight as tree bark and fresh to these ears. I really dug "Estate" and Drew's "I Remember You" . Please pass on my compliments to the rest of the band (alto sax included). Bob Boulden

Hi Claudia! I hope you remember me...this is Patrick Smith. I was one of your students at U of A just a few years ago in the jazz band. I had been thinking about you and wanted to say hello. Your music samples on the website are GREAT! I love the way you play!!!
Hi Claudia -- here you are! Been far too long since we've seen or heard from you. Hope all is going well! Best regards from Houston - Julia O. PS -- I'm adding a link to your site from mine :-)
Hi Claudia, I was just wondering what the most convenient way for me to take you up on the offer of some Bass charts might be. Anything would be great. Thanks, Dallas
Hello! Hope your new year is off to a wonderful (abeit cold) start. Was bouncing around the internet trying to find the Cate Brothers & Jimmy Thackery's CD "In The Natural State" and found your link at Winterwood Studio. How may I purchase your CD? Haven't been in Fayetteville the last couple of years, but plan on being there April 8-10. Hope I have the opportunity to hear you and your trio. My best, Bob
Hey! Really enjoyed seeing you Saturday. Here is the recipe for Almond Roca: Line large cookie sheet with foil, dull side up. Arrange saltines one layer deep to the edges. Melt together 1 cup butter and 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar and bring to boil. Boil 3 minutes after comes to rolling boil. Pour over crackers and spread. Bake in preheated oven at 375 and bake 4-5 minutes. Take out and immediately sprinkle 1 pkg chocolate chips. When melted spread to edges and springle 1 pkg. sliced almonds! Enjoy. (Takes about 30 minutes in fridge to cool, or more. Then break into pieces and store in air-tight container.) Merry Christmas
Used to be neighbors of your dad, mom and Debbie. Lived on the corner of Turner & Holly. Brother Brent and mom and dad. I remember your moms Minah Birds and her Chihuahua named Tango. Read the story in the paper today. Living in Fayetteville again. Say hi to Debbie.
